The goal of our Care Ministry is to show love and provide comfort, care and support to those who find themselves in some of life’s difficult situations. Much of this work is done by volunteers from our congregation. It is our hope to equip more and more of our church members so that they can perform acts of caring for one another. Some of our ministries are listed below. If you are in need of help or would like to serve, please contact Pastor Gene at email@example.com.
Convalescent and Assisted Living Visitation
We have a large number of seniors in our congregation who are no longer able to live at home. We seek to care for them by personal visits, prayer and encouragement.
Most hospital visitation is done by the pastoral staff, but there are many opportunities for lay members to be active in this ministry.
The focus of this ministry is to continue personal contact with members after they come home from the hospital. By doing so, we express the ongoing concern of the church, and become aware of needs for any other form of care that may be needed.
If there are prayer concerns you wish to leave for the pastoral staff or you would like to have updated information on how to pray for individuals who have requested prayer, please call our Prayer Line at (209) 369-1956.
This ministry is done by pastoral staff only. Because of the generosity of our congregation through the communion offering, we are able to provide some financial help for such things as utility bills, food and other basic needs. Please call the church office if you are in need of this help.
This ministry offers help to families by assisting with receptions after memorial services.
