A plan to build a new children's center and remodel existing facilities for our youth ministry is making steady progress. Roland Construction of Stockton is the design-build contractor using WMB Architects of Stockton as the architect for the children's center.
The plan calls for a 31,000+ sq. foot building to be constructed directly east of the worship center. This new building will fully accomodate our children's program (Nursery, Sunday School, King's Kids, AWANA, KFC, etc.) and will feature larger classrooms, up-to-date media technology, a children's assembly room, multi-purpose room and new security technology that will maintain the safety of our children.
We anticipate construction of the children's center to begin in spring, 2013 with a projected completion date of July, 2014. Once the children's center is completed and occupied by our children's ministry, the existing children's building (Building C) will be remodeled to accomodate our junior high, high school and college minstries. A projected completion date for the remodeled youth center is August, 2015.
In May, 2012, Lodi Christian School signed a letter of intent with Temple Baptist Church to become a building partner and occupy space for the existing preschool-Grade 8 Christian school.
A capital funds campaign called "Planting Today For A Harvest Tomorrow" was launched in January, 2010 to raise $2 million to assist with financing for the project. Currently, over $1 million has been pledged by church members and Lodi Christian School. If you wish to contribute to the capital funds campaign, please use the "eGive" icon to do so. If you wish to make a pledge for a future contribution, please contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (209) 369-1948.
