Each year the hospital loses medical equipment due to power surges because of the inconsistent electrical grid. Surgeries are hampered with the loss of power in the middle of a procedure and patient care suffers as a result of these disruptions. The contract has been signed between the hospitial and the engineering company, and nearly half of the needed 2.2 million dollars has been raised.

The Fulfulde Bible in Arabic script is in the final stages of printing and shipping. Scriptures in other languages of the Sahel region are also at the same point. The Bibles must then be purchased by the Clarks in order to be distributed. The Sahel is the geographic area immediately south of the Sahara desert. There are more than 225 languages in this area representing 200 million people, less than 2% of whom are believers. Today, 132 of these groups have no scriptures at all. Giving to this project will help cover the cost of getting these scriptures into the hands and hearts of our African brothers and sisters.
